Ric will introduce special screenings for 40,000 HORSEMEN

Ric is the sole executor of the estate of his grandparents, Australian pioneer filmakers, Charles and Elsa Chauvel

He has been committed to the lifelong preservation and promotion of the Chauvel filmmaking legacy and works with various institutions, including National Film and Sound Archives, Mitchell Library, State Library of New South Wales, John Oxley Library, State Library of Queensland and Strehlow Research Centre, Alice Springs.

When he is not dusting off the archives you can see Ric on the screen, most recently in David Stratton's TV series about Australian Film History and in the Pirates of the Caribbean.


Brigadier-General Gal Hirsch is one of the most experienced in the IDF in the areas of Counter Terrorism, Counter Insurgency and Guerilla Warfare.

He spearheaded Israel's fight against terror for 34 years in all fronts as a commander of several elite units and as a field officer.  He is a decorated soldier where his overt activities are well known and highly acclaimed in the security circles in Israel and its allies

Gal will be introducing several screenings of the film about his life called WAR STORY


Jeff is an award winning film-maker focusing on authored observational and historical documentaries for television and theatrical release.  His controveral first film THE  CONIDITIONS OF LOVE about Chinese-Muslim leader Rebiya Kadeer made worldwide headlines (WSJ, NY Times, The Guadian, The New Yorker, TIME, CNN) when the Chinese government protested and interrupted its many international screenings.

His latest feature documentary MOTHER WITH A GUN follows the current leader of the once highly active American terrorist group, The Jewish Defense League.  Jeff is currently completing an observational doc for television on racism with the Australian Football League.

Jeff is originally from New York, but is now based in Melbourne, Australia.


Erin is a writer/director, sound gal and film aficionado.

Quiet Gold is her third VCA production, and in 2014, she completed Rivermen on location in Suhzou, China, in collaboration with Beijing Normal University,
