![]() AICE ISRAELI FILM FESTIVAL 2015 The AICE Israeli Film Festival has announced its daring 2015 programme, featuring 35 titles across six categories, screening in four cities from August 17 – 30 at Palace Cinemas in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Perth. Curated by the Festival’s incoming Artistic Director, Richard Moore, this year’s selection of contemporary and historic Israeli cinema presents some colourful points of view, giving voice to the subversive, the political, the cultured and the deeply religious. The programme features World and Australian premieres of documentaries, feature films, shorts – even a television show - featuring Q&As with VIP guests and live music performances. The six categories, including three new sections, are: Blast From The Past - a selection of titles from Israel’s cinematic history, Queer Spot - a reflection on the vibrant queer culture in Israel and Questions of Faith – films that probe contemporary issues of faith and interfaith, Culture Corner – covering all things culture, from theatre to music to poetry and all things in between including sex, drugs & rock ‘n’ roll, First Course - a selection of the finest Israeli short films in a wide range of styles - from fiction to animation and even a dash of horror, and On The Edge returns to confront audiences with hard-hitting real-life stories that reveal the dark side of life, not only in Israel, but a reflection of today’s society in the rest of the world. www.aice.com.au / Facebook www.facebook.com/IsraeliFilmFestival or Twitter https://twitter.com/IsraeliFilmFest For more information about this media release please contact JAMESON PR 03 9804 7130 or Erin Jameson erin@jamesonpr.com / 0419 323 663 |
